Ready or not...Here comes Winter!

It's October in the Pikes Peak region and tomorrow morning we will see our first frost. The leaves have already changed to gold, yellow and red and pine trees are shedding old needles.
I predict our first light snow will occur Oct. 14th...make book on it?...well, maybe by Halloween. I have the snow shovel and our trusty Jeep ready. I can't wait to see the white stuff a comin' down!
For those of you (all three) from other parts of the country where it is still steamy hot...my condolences to you.
Update: October 10, 2005 - There is 7" of snow on the ground and it's still coming down here in Monument, Co.......missed it by a few days! Glad for the 4x4 this morning.
